I will be cycling 100 kilometers (63 miles) in the American Diabetes Association's Tour de Cure fund-raising event in Reston, Virginia this June.
My mom has Type 2 Diabetes. Since signing up for the Tour last year, I've found several friends have family members with diabetes, too.
Last year the Tour de Cure was my first endurance ride -- I thought I'd do something cool for other people's fitness with this personal milestone by helping the ADA. I'm doing it again this year and asking friends and family to help the cause.
